What happens in Vermont… stays in Vermont!
But… not much happens in Vermont. Life does move slower here and our kids grow up in an atmosphere where the things they do revolve around skiing, late-night sledding, swimming, sailing, boating, hiking, biking, and dips in the river streams on a hot summer day. All these outdoor family activities in rural Vermont are readily available in the Underhill and Jericho, Vermont, areas. Smugglers’ Notch Resort in nearby Jeffersonville offers a plethora of outdoor activities, not just in the winter, but year round as well.
Some things that happen in Vermont are too enticing to resist
We who live in Vermont say Vermont is a happening place! As a self-employed person, I don’t have set hours and my time can be flexible, however, when you are self employed you tend to work more, not less. Not today, though. This morning I woke up and decided I absolutely needed to get some “runs” in before I went to my office. So I got dressed in ski clothes, not work clothes, and headed up to the mountain for a few runs before beginning my work day. Maybe I should not be openly admitting that from time to time I play hooky and enjoy what Vermont has to offer, but what the heck, it’s a fringe benefit of the self employed.
These photos, all from the Underhill-Jericho-Jeffersonville show that things really do happen in Vermont. Many people who have come to Vermont have found that it is hard to leave. Perhaps the saying is true: “What happens in Vermont stays in Vermont,” because once you have experienced all our beautiful state has to offer you will most likely want to stay.
Vermont… hike, bike, ski have fun!
