The real estate market is picking up speed, especially where I work in the Underhill Vermont area. I recently sold one house and have another under contract. Meanwhile, I picked up a few more listings. It’s a continually changing real estate landscape. At Pleasant Valley Real Estate I am currently listing five homes and two parcels of land for sale in the Cambridge, Underhill, Jericho area. These listings vary widely. The five homes range in price from $209,000 to $645,000 and the two land parcels range in size from 2.4 acres to 24.64. Here is an overview of my current inventory of real estate for sale near Underhill Vermont, and what I think the selling points are for each property:
Good things come in small packages. This house is small, but cute as can be and charming the moment you walk into the large mudroom. The open living space is bright and sunny and kept warm by a wood-burning stove. The kitchen has a huge central island with lots of storage space. The backsplash has pretty tiling that gives the space a modern look. There’s a cozy family room tucked off to the side for some privacy. It has a pellet stove. Two bedrooms and a bath are upstairs. A two-car detached garage with wood shed off of the side rounds out this perfect little house that has much to offer the right person. If I were single, this is where I would live! Good for a couple, too. High-speed internet, 1.6 acres, built in 2002.
This four-bedroom Cape is move-in ready. It’s located on a family-friendly cul-de-sac and I envision a young family in this house. The previous owner has done a lot to upgrade the interior, with restored hardwood floors on the main level, and a renovated kitchen. The bath on the main level is wheelchair accessible. I love the bright sunroom of the kitchen, which was added in 2010. It provides additional space and brings great light into the house.
The big draw for this country Cape is the large remodeled kitchen. Plus, it’s close to Smugglers’ Notch ski area. The kitchen has granite countertops, an eat-at island, a Jenn-Air stove top, absolutely gorgeous hand-crafted tiger maple cabinets, and large windows. I really like the desk/office space at one end of the kitchen. You can enter the house from the two-car garage into a cozy family room that has a fireplace. The living room and dining room both have built-in shelving. There is a master bedroom and bath on first floor and two bedrooms and a bath upstairs. A handyman will love the separate building with 3-bay workshop (heat and electric available), and the dog will love the large fenced yard. I can see just about anyone living here, especially a middle-aged couple who would live downstairs and save the upstairs for guests or office space.
Looking for a large house in the country for a growing family? This is a fabulous house with 5 or 6 bedrooms. It was once a large post-and-beam barn, and was converted to a home in Pleasant Valley. The grand room has large sunny windows. There’s a guest room/bath and study on main floor, and four bedrooms and two baths upstairs. The 10-acre parcel it’s located on has great potential for farm animals and large gardens. Paddocks and a barn have water to them. The car port has a heated work room and an attic for play or storage.
Looking for a place to run a B&B? Or a weekend retreat in a Vermont ski town? Or a place to keep your horses? Look no further, this is your house! I adore this remodeled antique farmhouse, and I love the location as well. It’s close to Smugglers’ Notch ski area, yet very much in the country. The four-bedroom, three-bath restored Cape has new plumbing, wiring, insulation, sheet rock, newly created period windows, and all original floors and beams. In addition, there are stone walls on the property, a four-stall horse barn, paddocks, and a wind turbine. This house is waiting for the right person to take it to the next level.
This five-acre lot has westerly views to the village and easterly views of Mount Mansfield. The sun shines on this hilltop setting all day long. None of the permits are in place, so you can you choose your building and septic sites. It’s close to the village, but has a very country feel.
How would you like to live on 24+ acres of rolling meadows, with outstanding views of the Green Mountains? This lot is located on Pleasant Valley Road and contains a large amount of gravel; engineering information is available. The zoning is for five acres for most of the property. It could be a single parcel or subdivided, and there are trails throughout this and the surrounding land.
