I have written about the Vermont Entrepreneurs and Boyden Farm in the past. Owners David and Linda Boyden have demonstrated the unique ability to adapt their business model in a very challenging time for farmers. They restored an 1875 carriage barn that now houses Boyden Valley Winery and also serves as an event space for weddings, parties, and functions. Their farm produces milk and beef from free-ranging cows, maple syrup, and of course, wine.
I have visited the winery for wine tastings and have enjoyed tasting their wines and learning about them. My favorite is Big Red Barn. I have also enjoyed special occasions at the Boyden Barn, which is a gorgeous space for any sort of party or event.
I like to support local businesses whenever I can, and once again I have an opportunity to promote two Vermont entrepreneurs and Boyden Farm. They are hosting a Vermont Ice Wine and Cocktail Dinner on Saturday, December 7, from 6:30 to 9:00pm. This will be an exclusive evening at the winery, with a gourmet dinner featuring their ice wines and cocktails, and a live jazz band. It is limited to 50 people. I am taking my husband as a birthday present, so 2 of those seats are already reserved.
